Ceclor is second generation antibiotic which is effective against both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. Manufactured and marketed by AGP Pharmaceuticals Pakistan, this medicine is used for respiratory tract infactions, urinary tract infections and other different infections. Ceclor is available in both forms i.e. syrup and tablets.

Each extended-release tablet contains cefaclor monohydrate equivalent to 375 mg cefaclor.
Powder for Oral Suspension:
Ceclor bottles containing cefaclor monohydrate equivalent to 125 mg/5 ml, 187 mg/5 ml & 250 mg/5 ml, for oral administration.

Indications:

Dosage:
Children:
20 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours. In more severe infections, otitis media and infections caused by less susceptible organisms, 40 mg/kg/day in divided doses with a maximum dosage of 1 g/day. Ceclor 187 mg/ 5 ml is indicated in Pharyngitis (20 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours) & Otitis media (40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours).
