Liaquat Ali Khan was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan was given the title of ‘Quaid-e-Millat’ (leader of the nation) because of his extra-ordinary services for the nation. He was born on 1 October 1895 in small town of Karnal in present-day Haryana, East Punjab India. He became the Prime Minister of Pakistan on 14 August 1947 when this new country officially appears on the map of the world. He remained PM of Pakistan till 16 October 1951, when he was assassinated during public meeting at Company Gardens Rawalpindi. He was true heir of and pupil of Quaid-e-Azam.
